Belated thanks for September 30 campaign event

Thanks to Chris Coleman, Melvin W. Carter Dai Thao, Dave Thune, Chris Tolbert, Rafael Ortega, all of our great co-hosts, and the great group of folks who came out to my Campaign Fundraiser Wednesday night. I talked about what we've already done to make Green Line a success, improve conditions for safe walking and biking, and how are city is growing. I also described how we have a lot more work to do, with a focus on the two greatest challenges we face -- climate change and growing inequality. We can do this by continuing to invest in high quality transit across the City, implementing our new Bike Plan, improving our solid waste systems (including moving to organized trash collection and collecting organics), and with a constant focus on improving health, education, and earning potential of our neighbors of color and lower incomes. Rather than being "nice things to do," this work will make St. Paul's economy stronger and better position our community for even greater success.
